On December 7, 2023, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilhom Abdurahmon, and the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mikayil Jabbarov.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the current situation and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, industry and transport, transportation of transit cargoes, as well as investments in industry and energy sectors.
Within the framework of the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on mutual cooperation in the implementation of joint investment projects, as well as the elaboration of new instruments for the development of bilateral relations using the favorable atmosphere and existing opportunities.
